Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco April 22nd.,2008– Coming soon on May 4th, 2008 to the multicultural destination Puerto Vallarta, will host the 1st Salsa Festival “Fiesta Latina” (Latin Party) which will take place in the Old Sr. Frog’s at Olas Altas starting at 7:00 pm.
Four famous and internationally recognized salsa orchestras like Adolescent’s Orquesta from Venezuela, Estrellas de Niche from Cali, Colombia, Chemaney and his Orchesta from México, Tino and his Feeling whose vocal is from Venezuela and the rest of the orchestra are talented mexican musicians, and the spectacular dancing performers as local representatives, in all over 70 artists performing on stage. All together, they became art of the Puerto Vallarta cultural schedule in its anniversary month of May. Therefore, giving for he first time the opportunity to this musical genere within the cultural program of this beautiful city.
The first salsa festival Fiesta Latina idea was created by 2 young business women; one from La Habana, Cuba and the other from Caracas, Venezuela. Together, they both reside over the past years in this paradise called Puerto Vallarta and united over the love for latin music. They combined their ideas to form their company FIESTA LATINA PRODUCCIONES and decided after a couple of month designing the project, to make it come true. For them, they are counting on the support of certain government officials and also of talented representatives of Latin culture like musicians, dancers, designers and an endless list of artists.
FIESTA LATINA PRODUCCIONES is looking to combined the different Latin communities from different countries that live in Puerto Vallarta, not only the Cubans and Venezuelans, but also the communities that are growing like Argentinean, Colombian, Chilean, Dominican, among others, without notice this event would make a huge impact in Puerto Vallarta community which will be one of the traditional activities on a yearly basis, without the loss of the income this will represent for the tourist industry because the event will mobilize an approximate of 10,000 people including locals and visitors.
What better start than Puerto Vallarta, tourist destination by excellence and the favorite of the international tourism to learn about the cultural and Latin feeling.
